AIWPN 11th Annual Conference Grit & Grace 2023 Agenda & Schedule

American Indian Women of Proud Nations with our Co-Host American Indian Heritage Center is excited to announce our 11th Annual Conference!  It will be held in the heart of the Lumbee Tribe on the beautiful and historic campus of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke on August 3rd -5th2023.

UNCP was founded on March 1, 1887, to train American Indian teachers in Robeson County. Between 1939 and 1953, UNCP was the only state supported four-year institution for American Indians.

This year's conference "Grit & Grace: Our strength. Our resolve. Our resilience." will focus finding our mental healthy place as we travel the complex journey of life.  Our mental wellness is the foundation of these vital areas. This year's conference features speakers and workshops sessions addressing the complexities of mental wellness and creating healthy spaces which empower Indigenous women to flourish.  On Friday night, a banquet will be held honoring several American Indian women who work to break barriers and provide positive leadership in their tribes and communities.
